One may need to use on screen keyboard on Raspberyy Pi. One can accomplish this by using matchbox-keyboard. You can download by using the following command:

sudo apt-get install matchbox-keyboard

You can start by the matchbox-keyboard by using command

matchbox-keyboard 
or
sudo matchbox-keyboard
